All production processes are supervised by a council of Vaidyas (Ayurvedic experts). This council of Vaidyas was founded by the leading experts of India: B.D.Triguna, advisor to the Indian government and former president of the All India Ayurvedic Congress; Balraj Maharshi, leading expert in Dravyaguna, the identification and application of medicinal plants; and V.M. Dwivedi, internationally recognised authority in the field of Rasayanas (Ayurvedic herbal and mineral preparations).


Safety and security as a result of having our own production facilities in India
All products imported from India come from our principal producer “Maharishi Ayurveda Products India”. This ensures that a consistently high quality is maintained. In addition to the people employed in processing and in quality control, Maharishi Ayurveda employs a large number of pickers, who are specially trained to gather the fruits and herbs. Rare plants are especially cultivated, in order to protect and preserve the wealth of Indian flora.

Only the best raw materials
The effectiveness of a plant varies considerably, according to the season, cycles of the moon, and the time of day when it is harvested. All plants are harvested at their most ideal time, and this can significantly enhance their potency. After harvesting, each delivery batch is meticulously tested, sorted, and cleaned. Raw materials are discarded if in the opinion of our experts they fail to meet the required quality standards in terms of purity, ripeness, or potency.

Renowend certifications in India and quality controls in Europe
The production facilities of “Maharishi Ayurveda Products India” (MAP India) are equipped in the most up-to-date manner, and the company is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 - and ISO 22000:2005, HACCP, WHO-GMP, and BDIH. “MAP India” is one of the very few firms in India to have integrated all these quality control systems into its production process, so as to deliver flawless quality. MAP India’s Research and Development centre in India is officially recognised and certified by the Indian Ministry of Science and Technology. When the products are imported into Europe, they undergo further batch testing for residues, at independent laboratories. These tests check for pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides); microbiology (bacteria, yeasts, mould, salmonella); and heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic), and are conducted in accordance with the most up-to-date European standards.

The “Golden Triangle Partnership” project
The “Golden Triangle Partnership” project (GTP) of the Indian Ministry of Health is an initiative conceived for the expansion and wider recognition of Ayurveda. The success of this project is based on the collaboration of three key organizations within the Indian government:

The “Department of Ayurveda, Unani, Sidha & Homeopathy (AYUSH)”, under the direction of the Indian Ministry of Health, makes available the traditional knowledge for preventive health care that Ayurveda has preserved. The “Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)” has an advisory function and provides support from the field of modern knowledge. The “Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)" is responsible for matters involving scientific research, the analysis of individual herbs and the use of specific herbal mixtures.
Initially six Indian firms, drawn from the large number of Ayurveda providers in the country, were chosen for collaboration in this project and were then inspected by a committee of experts. After thorough examination of these six Ayurveda producers, however, the committee decided to include only MAP India in the project, on the basis of its exemplary working practice and because its “production units and laboratories fulfill the standards for production, classification and evaluation of herbal and mineral preparations and bhasmas.”

Recognised as authentic
The "All India Ayurvedic Congress" is the largest official organization and highest authority of Ayurveda in India, with over 300,000 Ayurvedic scholars as members. An official endorsement from the president of this organization states that Maharishi Ayurveda represents the authentic and classical form of Ayurveda and practises the tradition of Ayurvedic knowledge in its completeness, to a degree that is otherwise hard to find in India today. The full quote from President Shiv Karan Sharma Chhangani reads:

For example, Maharishi Ayurveda includes Yoga (including Transcendental Meditation and Asanas), Jyotish, Gandharva Veda and other Vedic disciplines which are considered vital for prevention and treatment by the ancient Ayurvedic texts.

“Maharishi Ayurveda includes the full range of therapies recommended in the ancient texts, which is not universally the case in Ayurveda practised in India today. It has included high standards of quality control using modern technologies. Furthermore, its effectiveness has been proven in extended scientific research carried out in the United States and Europe as well as in India .
