The natural balance of the dhatus – this is the Ayurvedic description of the various body tissues – plays an important role in maintaining a fundamental healthy balance as well as promoting vitality and well-being. For many people in our affluent society, however, meda dhatu (fat tissue) is too prominent.

To control weight, Maharishi Ayurveda offers a comprehensive programme. In addition to individual type-specific diet, physical exercise and stimulating massages, Ayurvedic texts recommend some harmonising food supplements for meda dhatu. These contain purely natural ingredients, precious herbs and fruits, according to a traditional original recipe.
