We lose up to 14 grammes of dead skin cells every day. New skin cells are therefore being formed all the time and we have a completely new layer of skin every few weeks. Iron is also involved in this process, as the skin needs it for cell division and oxygen supplying.
However, cell metabolism and the production of collagen und elastin slow down as we get older. Toxins can form and the dead layers of skin remain for longer, giving the skin a coarser texture and making it look dull and lifeless.

What Ayurveda says
As we also release impurities through the skin, it’s important that the elimination function of the liver and kidneys is kept healthy. According to Ayurveda, “Prabha”, the essence of radiance and skin texture, is affected by impurities in the blood and the tissues.
Ayurveda describes “Pitta” as the principle responsible for the skin’s condition, and ayurvedic teachings on health describe the link between liver function and the skin’s cleansing role.

Directions
Dose for adults:
2 tabletten twice a day on empty stomach. With 4 tablets a day, the daily dose contains 34 mg iron (243% of the reference intake).

Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose.

Aqueous extract from: Cassia fistula 57 mg, Rubia cordifolia 57 mg, Swertia chirata 57 mg, Azadirachta indica (neem) 57 mg. Santalum album (white sandalwood) 57 mg. Ayurvedic elemental iron 34 mg. Coating Carboxymethylcellulose. Starch rice. Corallium rubrum (coral) 19 mg.
